I am unable to connect to server 2. I have tried many different cars and skins but get kicked every time.

Not having issues with any other rooms.

Any Ideas?

did you try to install the necessary mods manually?
Maybe this helps.

You can try to install track first, if it doesn't work you have to install SGT car mods and/or actual KBB Car Classes update.

I deleted the kbb car class file and the gt500 car file and ran the updater again and now I am able to join server 2.

hello! sorry for necro-posting, but my trouble is somewhat related.
i am keep getting "Booted for Possible Cheating" error from Server 2.
i did manually re-installed the track, kbb classes and all bmw m3-related mods and skins - all to no avail.
further troubleshooting shows i get this error if OBS is running in the background, and seemingly all OK if OBS is closed.
is this behaviour normal? was it observed earlier?
i am kinda okay racing without streaming, but if any workaround exist i'd like to know - an old friend of mine digs gtl/gtr2 and enjoys my streams. thanks!

Hmm, so far I haven't heard of anybody having issues with OBS + GTR2 of us streamers.
You are running Win 10?
With my limited knowledge the only reason I'd see GTR2 having an issue with OBS running is through shared memory access since there's no way GTR2 is accessing anything GTR2-related (unless you have it set up to save recordings or anything in the GTR2 folder)?
Anyway, a couple of things you could try is switching between Game, Window and Screen Capture as your source and see if it maybe works with a specific capturing method and again, always try multiple times since getting booted for suspected cheating can and will happen randomly from time to time.
If that doesn't work, maybe export your Profile and Scene Collection in OBS and reinstall it. Then check if it works before re-importing your old profile - if it does you can import your profile and scenes again and try again.

Sorry for not having a solution since I've never heard of this, but maybe the few suggestions there can help troubleshoot what the root cause is.

Yes, im running Win10 (specifically quite dated 21H1 build with forcibly disabled updates).
As for OBS it was 29.1.3 (the last one to support Sandy Bridge's Quicksync hw-enc. Quick googleing suggested OBS 29.x.x weren't the most trouble-free release at all, and general recommendation was to downgrade to a 28.1.2 or even 27.2.4 if games bugs out, which i happily obliged. Got installed 27.2.4 as the last 32bit OBS (to be as failsafe as possible), and it was smooth sailing for the whole evening afterwards, not a single `booted as a cheat` for me. Quite possible 29 got app hooking somewhat wrong. Next time will try 28.1.2, for science's sake.
